The Second Inaugural AudioBookClub Annual Awards list is such a fantastic resource for anyone looking to refresh their listening queue. I was particularly interested to see Rory Sutherland’s Alchemy win Surprise of the Year because his ideas on unconventional thinking are always so fascinating. Kathy Burke’s win for A Mind of My Own is also well deserved since a compelling voice can completely transform the narrative experience. It is great to see Ian Danter recognized for his performance in Last Rites as well because narrating a memoir requires such a specific tone. I find that the best way to enjoy these detailed audiobooks is to pair them with a relaxing environment where I can shut out the world and truly…
